After school clubs are from 3:15 – 4:20pm apart from cooking club which is until about 5:15pm

In addition to after school clubs we also offer clubs during other times of the days. Such as Chess, recorder, rainbow café, Reading club, Ks1 PE games and sing up club.

Please be aware that we try our best to offer these clubs each week but regrettably we do have to change and cancel at short notice. However we will try to give parents as much time as possible so alternative plans can be made.
Please make sure that you have completed a form and received a letter to say that you have a place before you attend.
Change for life Club
During lunchtime on Tuesday a small group of children have taken part in a change for life club. During these sessions they learnt about healthy eating and looking after themselves, then participated in games and activities.
Over the past term all children from Key stage 2 have had the opportunity to join Cheerleading. During these sessions they have learnt and created different routines. Within these routines they have practiced different moves which includes jumps, balances, lunges and different arm positions.
For example can you do the low and high V, Broken T, Daggers and even the candlesticks
Key Stage One girls have enjoyed playing games based on the skills and techniques of Netball. Next Term its Girls from Y3 and Y4.
As part of our Sports Premium funding Key stage 2 have had the opportunity to enjoy Rugby with Pro-vision. The children have had the opportunity to learn the skills and techniques of Rugby as well as been part of a team.
As part of our Sports Premium funding, Key stage 2 boys, have had the opportunity to enjoy football with Bradford City. The children have had the opportunity to learn the skills and techniques of football as well as been part of a team.
Through our PE partnership we were invited to take part in Heaton Tennis clubs “Search for a Star” competition. During a special assembly they came and explained the competition and gave the details about how you could enter. The prize was a whole years’ worth of free coaching at Heaton Tennis club. Although we had some interest we didn’t have a winner. Maybe next year?
During the last few months boys and girls from Key stage 2 have taken part in football competitions at Thornton Grammar School against other Primary schools. Despite coming near the bottom of the table the children represented the school in a wonderful manner.
