JU:MP- Creating An Active School
Join Us Move Play – Creating a whole school and community approach to physical activity, health and wellbeing
We are incredibly excited to begin our journey towards being physically active and emotionally healthy school. Please take a look at some of the approaches and initiatives we are involved in below:
Help us to understand how easy or hard it is to keep moving at home
The JU:MP team need your help to make JU:MP@Home bigger and better!
JU:MP@Home was specially created for children and their families in North Bradford, to support being active at home and having lots of fun during lockdown.
We would like to know:
- How lockdown has affected your family
- What you think about being active at home
- How we can make JU:MP@Home bigger and better in the future
- You, parents/guardians/carers and children can take part by completing a survey and you may also be invited to take part in an informal individual interview or group discussion with one of our team.
If you would like to understand more about the research, please choose one of the links below.

Join Us: Move Play (JU:MP)
JU:MP is the Bradford Local Delivery Pilot, led by Active Bradford. It is a 4 year pilot programme, funded by Sport England, that aims to help children and families in North Bradford to be more active, testing and learning as we grow.
The Mission
To bring together families, communities and organisations in our area of North Bradford, to create a healthier, happier and more active place to grow up in.
The Vision
A happy and healthy North Bradford where children and families choose to move and play every day!
We will be investing over £20,000 into St James and the wider community over the next 2 years to support our pupils, staff and community to be physically active. We have also recruited a new P.E/Forest School and Play leader who will start in January 2020.
