Autumn 1 – Only the brave

This half term, we will be learning about Shackleton’s Journey and exploring what it’s like in Antarctica. We will explore the location of Antarctica as well as what the physical and human features are.

In Art, we will create Antarctic landscapes based on monochrome artwork by Derek Lerner.

We have already started to create mood boards and to experiment with shading.

Hook Day

For our Hook day, we had to be extremely brave. We took on the challenge of spider mountain and were brave enough to try some new foods, including roasted crickets and mealworms.

Hand to Mouth 

Some visitors came from Hand to Mouth to take us on a spiritual journey. We had time to reflect and to pray if we wanted to.
